Lallemand Human Nutrition, a world leader in the characterization and manufacturing of probiotic microorganisms, has partnered with the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute to launch this new edition of the Probiotic Challenge. The aim of the Challenge is to promote awareness and stimulate research in probiotics.

New to this 4th edition, the Challenge will be open to teams of students working together, including undergraduates, graduates, post-doctoral fellows and residents.

Teams must conduct studies related to probiotics and submit their findings to DDW as scientific posters.

Teams wishing to take part in the challenge must submit their abstract online to DDW 2013 (http://www.ddw.org) between September and 1 December 2012. All entries will be judged by a scientific panel consisting of 5 judges -3 appointed by the AGA Institute and 2 appointed by Lallemand Human Nutrition.
